What is mindfulness?
We have very full lives. I don’t know many people who do not feel stressed about the pace of their schedule or their days. How many times has a full day gone by and you can name several things you accomplished but you don’t remember what you ate for dinner or the conversation you had with your kids? Or have you ever felt frazzled and off but couldn’t put your finger on it?
You are not alone. This happens to many of us. Mindfulness is a tool to help with this. Mindfulness is being present, it is a practice that helps us to be present.
I specifically work with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
This system of mindfulness offers some specific tools to help us be more present in our days and lives. When we are more present we can find peace throughout our days and feel a major reduction in our stress.
